My Back Hurts

September 1 2020

I have been suffering with back pain since early June. I was talking to a friend who was experiencing neck and back pain and I shared with him what I did to counteract a similar problem I experienced earlier in the year. Within one to two days of our discussion, my back pain resurfaced. I can’t say whether this was coincidental or an attack from the enemy to test my faith. I believed that I had been healed by Jesus stripes and told my friend I was relieved of my pain after standing strong on God’s Word. My advice to him was to do the same. Sometimes pain is a result of an injury or it can be due to stress. Either way, it exists and God has given us a way to be healed. I found as many Scriptures on healing as I could and confessed them over myself until my healing manifested.

When the pain came back the second time, it was more severe and some days it is almost crippling. Nevertheless, I am pressing my way through by once again confessing the Word over my infirmity. I still walk or run 5-6 days a week, work out with weights, and play golf. You might say with that kind of activity, your pain can’t be that bad, but it really is. I just choose to keep moving because I found out that the movement really helps to relieve the pain. And I know the enemy doesn’t want me to exercise my faith so he increases the intensity so I will give up. I have tasted of God and know He is good. I have been healed of sickness before so I know from my own personal experiences God is able. I trust Him to heal me and rest in the confidence of knowing He will. The test is the waiting. When I start to get a little frustrated and I do occasionally, I always remind myself of God’s history of successfully healing me and others. That refreshes and strengthens me and boosts my confidence level so I do not waver in my faith. I am anchored. Each day when I wake up, I thank God for my healing and check to see if my miracle has arrived. It did not come today, but there is always tomorrow. I look forward to the day when I can share my testimony about my healing. God will be glorified!
