Our Story

Pastor Turner and First Lady Salemma Turner were faithful long time members of The Way, The Truth, and The Life Christian Center, Inc. They were submitted to the leadership and spiritual guidance of Apostle Ulysses and Pastor Deborah Tuff. Pastor Turner served as the Assistant Pastor and First Lady Salemma served as Pastor Tuff’s Armor Bearer along with a host of other duties such as the head of pastoral care and protocol officer . They both were committed servants for over 20 years.

In the fall of 2009, Apostle Tuff released them to start their own ministry. In April of 2010 they moved into a facility located at 3271 Turner Hill Road, in Lithonia, Georgia and began holding services with their three children and a handful of others. They remained in that location until October, 2014 when they purchased their current facility located at 3147 Klondike Road in Conyers Georgia.

Good Works Christian Ministries is a full gospel church that believes in the entirety of the Bible as God’s spoken Word and His Truth. And all that call upon His name shall be saved. We believe that heaven is a real place where all believers are destined for eternity. We also believe that hell is a real place for all who fail to repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and that Satan is the enemy of God and all believers. We believe in the Trinity; The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Moreover, we believe that we are saved by grace through faith. Salvation results in acts of service or “good works”.

Good Works holds services on Sunday mornings because it is the first day of the week and that was the day that the Lord Jesus resurrected from the dead. The services include awesome praise and worship followed by sound doctrinal teachings based on biblical truths.

The Church plays a vital role in the community through outreach and involvement. It supports families and individuals that are in distress and provides spiritual guidance and discipleship training and development based on the God’s Word. It partners with organizations with proven track records whereby they can assist with feeding and caring for the homeless, supporting battered women and children, caring for the elderly, and assisting with the education and development of our young people.
