Do You Remember What You Looked Like

Every once and a while I look through old photographs to reminisce about my past. As I browse through those old images, I think about moments in the past that were precious. I also think about times that were not so pleasant. Photographs are reminders of who we were back then, what we once looked like and what we once did.

As I read certain passages of Scriptures, they are like looking at a photograph of what I looked like before Jesus Christ came into my life. Like most of us, I walked according to the course of this world and it was not the most glamorous picture.

I am so grateful that Jesus touched my heart and made me a new creation in Him. Not that every photograph of my past was horrible, but the ones since salvation definitely present a different picture and tell a different story.

I thank the Lord that I can look back over my life and see where He has made a profound impact on my life. He has removed the stony heart and given me a heart of flesh. He has changed my thinking and ordered my steps in Him. He has given me strength and wisdom. “With man things are not possible, but with God all things are possible”.
